Congratulations on being accepted to a Teacher Certification Program! Here are your next steps to full acceptance.
Submit your Resume, References, and Personal Statement
Post-Baccalaureate Teacher Certifications provide these items as part of their admission application.
Undergraduates should submit a current resume, two letters/forms of reference (access our form), and a 500-1,000 word essay that describes how your background will make you an effective educator. Your full name must appear on each document.

Request Your Transcripts
Official transcripts for all previous coursework is required for full admission. Make arrangements with these institutions to have your transcripts to Granite State College. All candidates must have a 3.0 GPA; in addition, post-bacc. candidates must have a conferred bachelor’s degree.

Declaration of Candidacy (Undergraduate Only)
Candidate must submit the Declaration of Candidacy prior to or while enrolled in EDU 622.
Praxis Core
You must have a passing score on the PRAXIS CORE Academic Skills for Educators or a NH DOE Waiver in order to register for EDU 622.→ PRAXIS CORE - ETS Institution/Recipient Codes: Granite State College Code RA3640
Criminal History Records Check
There are two ways you can satisfy this requirement. If you currently work in a school, please show proof of employment by submitting a pay stub. If you volunteer at a school or are not employed by the school in which you plan to student teach, please indicate a background check with the NH Department of Safety.

Effective February 11th, the NH DOE will institute a new background check process. Students currently enrolled in EDU 622/700 for 2022 Winter Term will follow the current requirements listed above. New students enrolling in EDU 622/700 in 2022 Spring Term will need to complete this new process instituted by the NH DOE prior to enrolling in clinical courses. The NH DOE background check process is outlined in this document.
Supervising Practitioner Authorization
Collaborate with your supervisor at your field-placement site to complete the following form. Submit the finalized form to your assigned Field-Placement Faculty member.
Supervising Practitioner Certification
Email a copy of your Supervising Practitioner’s current certification to your Field-Placement Faculty member.
